The Wilson House

I love the graceful, austere side of modern design.

The Wilson House in Temple, Texas

"The house was built in 1959 by Ralph Wilson Sr., founder of Wilsonart International. Wilson used it as both his home and a test lab to see how many uses his company's plastic laminate could serve in everyday living."

Some of it is wince-inducing, but there's a lot in there to like.

(I haven't been yet, but I will go eventually, if only to take pictures of shiny shiny things.)
