Thursday's Child

When I was at my friend Xtinkerbelle's this Fourth of July, I took some 30- to 60-second jpg video shots of a fast-moving storm with my Fuji FinePix digital camera. I like the footage, but I haven't yet figured out what to do with it--or HOW to do anything with it, for that matter.

But I am inspired to hang onto it still, because I recently stumbled across an online music video made entirely with the same jpg video feature (only on a Nikon camera instead of a Fuji). I love the way this grainy video looks. It makes me instantly nostalgic, some mixture of pleasure and sorrow. The music is lovely, too.
