In case anyone wants to write or call Walgreen's and commend them for firing the pharmacists who refused to sign a pledge that they would dispense emergency birth control, here is their contact info:

Walgreen Company Corporate Office
200 Wilmot Road
Deerfield, IL 60015
(847) 914-2500

God knows they (meaning Walgreen's) will hear a lot of negative bullshit from other factions. I'd like them to know that some people believe they did the right thing.

Its sad to be so impressed when a corporation finally does the right thing. But yeah! for Walgreens. I mean what's next? Pharmacists making every female (of a certain age) take a pregnancy test before you can get your prescription - just in case it causes a problem?

ACK.

Not only will I write to them, I will go one step further, and suggest anyone in the same boat with me (non-Walgreen's shoppers) do the same: I will go to their website and buy something there. I will then print out a copy of my order, enclose it with my letter, and say, truthfully, that I have never shopped in a Walgreens in my adult life, but that I have now started, and will continue to do so.

Alternatively, I will find out where their nearest store location is, shop there in person, and send them the receipt. But you get the idea.

Seriously, you need aspirin and tampax anyway, right?
