Terror Baking

It's been a bloody sad and awful week, but here I am, almost through it. I didn't have trouble sleeping until last night, when I just -- didn't. So I'm still up, completely untired and unsleepy (until I get to work, no doubt), and waiting for the terror cookies I baked (to keep my mind occupied) to finish cooling. Then I will take them to work and people will fucking love me.

These cookies turned out rather well -- certainly better than I expected. Here is some cookie pr0n:

Yes, it does! I got an email from Martha Stewart OmniGigantiMediaCorp, and there was a link to this recipe in it, and I said, "Sure, okay, I'll make those," because I'm unpredictable, see, you never know which way I'll juke.

Here's the "receipt" (as they used to say in old timey days). The texture is really nice if you like soft, moist cookies. The insulated baking sheet is a must, though -- the cookies will get hard otherwise.

Ha haH! I have an insulated baking sheet! But I'm going full steam ahead in a different cookie direction, one that requires one of those bags and a nozzle. A head? Nozzle? Anyhow!

I actually feel okay--took a Provigil. :p

SPEAKING of . . . I just read about something interesting called "wake therapy." Ever hear of it? I stumbled across it when I was looking at Xtinky's lampie page!

It's basically a method of controlled sleep-deprivation combined with light therapy and medication. Hmm, I say.

Wow! I've never heard of that. It makes sense though, I've felt a "high" sometimes after staying up all night. Hmmm. I say it too.
